Eligibility
Identify as a first- or second-generation immigrant student.
First generation refers to persons who were not U.S. citizenship at birth. We divide this into two subgroups:
Documented: Documented first-generation immigrants include naturalized U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents (or green-card holders), refugees and other humanitarian immigrants, and persons on certain temporary visas (this includes international students).
Undocumented: Undocumented first-generation immigrants include immigrants who reside in the U.S. and do not have a legal immigration status; it includes those individuals who have DACA, TPS, etc.).
Second generation refers to persons born in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizens) to one or more immigrant parents.
Are currently enrolled in graduate school (e.g., master’s or doctoral program, professional degree program such as medicine, law, public health, teaching credential, etc.), we invite you to participate in our online survey.
Compensation
Survey participants will be entered into a raffle to win one of X gift cards of $X.
Optional Zoom Interview Component
Upon completion of the online survey, participants will be invited to take part in an optional Zoom interview to further discuss their experiences in their graduate/professional degree program. All interview participants will be provided with a $40 gift card in recognition of their time.
