Take Our Survey

The survey will be released soon! Please keep an eye out for an email from your university with a link to complete the survey.

 

Eligibility

We invite students currently enrolled in graduate school (e.g., master’s or doctoral program, professional degree program such as medicine, law, public health, teaching credential, etc.) to participate in our survey. Graduate students looking to take the survey must identify as a first- or second-generation immigrant student.

Second Generation

Second generation refers to persons born in the United States (e.g., U.S. citizens) to one or more immigrant parents.

First Generation

First generation refers to persons who were not U.S. citizens at birth. We divide this into two subgroups:

Undocumented

Undocumented first-generation immigrants include immigrants who reside in the U.S. and do not have a documented immigration status; it includes those individuals who have DACA, TPS, etc.

Documented

Documented first-generation immigrants include naturalized U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents (or green-card holders), refugees and other humanitarian immigrants, and persons on certain temporary visas (this includes international students).

 
 

Compensation

Survey participants will be entered into a raffle to win one of X gift cards of $X.

 

Optional Zoom Interview Component

Upon completion of the online survey, participants will be invited to take part in an optional Zoom interview to further discuss their experiences in their graduate/professional degree program. All interview participants will be provided with a $40 gift card in recognition of their time.
